Carrie McLaren headshot…you’ve come to the right place. Carrie McLaren has over twenty years’ experience in web and print, as a web designer, writer, editor, researcher, and marketing strategist. These days, she can be found swinging with the crowd at Dot Connector Studio, a small media production and strategy firm founded by Jessica Clark. But she is always up for freelance media-related projects. Her core strength is her grasp of the varied components needed for successful media production and strategy:

McLaren Design clients have included Benjamin R. Barber, Mark Crispin Miller, the Center for Media and Democracy, City Limits, Metropolis, David Byrne, and Tom Waits.

Carrie McLaren is the co-author of Ad Nauseam: A Survivor’s Guide to American Consumer Culture, published by an imprint of Farrar, Straus and Giroux and currently in its second printing. For over a decade, McLaren edited and designed Stay Free! magazine and its sister blog, Stay Free! Daily. She produced the Illegal Art Exhibit, an international, multimedia show that examined the relationship between copyright and free speech. Her media projects have been covered in many major outlets, including the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, ABC-TV, and NPR.
